Curle was sacked mainly due to his anti football at home and declining attendances due to the horrible playing style. We were getting 4 or 5k in L1. Not sustainable at all and I can see the sense in Trew getting rid.

I recall Curle giving quite a pointed (pre/post match Tuesday night?) interview bemoaning the fact that Trew would not dish out on another forward. The sacking came not long afterwards.

Wasn't there an unwritten rule that if you lose against Hartlepool you're out!

If I recall it was Jason Scotland that was coming in. He turned up for negotiations and was offered something like £200 a week.

Went to Barnsley instead.
