Obviously not had a chance to see them play first hand but overall our transfer activity in this window looks pretty good.
Onwards and upwards
3 loans inclusive of “highly rated” and proven status, and no long lasting legacy or burdened wages.!.
Wyke has scored most of his goals below championship level so I’m not expecting much having said that like you say he’s a goalscorer and we’ve got 3 bodies through the door when it looked like there would not be any
Big concern is obviously still not having much of a wide option so I hope we improve but wouldn't be surprised if we still struggle in attack unfortunately. But still three decent looking signings in a very difficult window with not that much activity across the leagues overall, our league position and the importance of not jeopardising ourselves financially. In the bottom 8 we have the second best form over the last five games, a couple of wins from somewhere will change the picture and I have a sneaky hunch we'll get something from Saturday.
The problem as a striker is the higher you go and with clubs such as ours, you get less and less created chances/opportunities to score,it doesn”t necessarily mean they can’t do it at that level as such… i am hoping that nombe and maybe wyke if he stays will flourish a level down…
If you look at the transfer window with a balanced view it isn't that bad, it is clear that the club didn't want to burdon itself with huge financial outlay in fact use it to reduce our wage bill, also to give LR some support for this campaign and that has been achieved. TS was clear in his interview that more money will be made available when they think the time is right, it is no surprise that with us bottom, 9 points adrift they didn't think now was the time. I think with all the injuries in defence another CB would have been prudent but you can't have everything, if we are lucky with fitness for the rest of the season we do have some good players coming back. What I do like is we have seen LR do what he said he would. he said he would help Bola in his career and he did, he said that young McGuckin needed to go out and get some games to help his development and he has delivered on that. So whether we stay up or go down the club will be financially in a good place and not have to worry about FFP rules taking points of us next season, and a lot of clubs cannot say that.
Humphreys on the way back so at CB hope we can keep Odoffin & Morrison fit while then. We look overloaded in midfield no width. Full backs will have to give us that. I'd switch Bramall & Revan latter better going forward. 4-5-1 from now.
Dare I say it,
Perhaps maybe we should have kept Dexter Lembikisa and played him further forward.
To give us the width?
I still think if we could have signed Vaulks
It would have given us something different.up front.
