Good first half that. They’ve had a lot of possession but not done too much with it.

Should be 2-0 up though. Phillips needs to make up for that missed chance.

We can’t afford to be missing these chances

And usually that’s what happens when you do.

Probably a fair point that. They had the lion share of possession first half (although didn’t create loads) and many corners but we missed 3 massive chances.

Phillips, Cole or McAtee score one of those guilt edge chances and we take the 3 points in my opinion.

Would’ve taken a point before the game though so won’t grumble too much.

    Not seen the match.
    Possession stats count for nowt.
They can tap it about at the back as long as the want - as long as we don’t.
Chances and goals what count - and with the sound of it we should have buried them.
Good point I suppose when looking at the league table - but we should be beating teams like Bolton.
This is the weakest 1st Division for a while.

Josh Earl by far the best defender on the pitch today he looks a very good signing.
    A tower of strength.

I’d have taken point before the game but I feel slightly disappointed tbh
Credit to hc n lads we came out second half and took it right too them and should have got that 2nd goal with the chances we created
Any Bolton fan watching that will be happy with what they got today n give a nod to the opposition
I feel confident in a playoff game on that showing for the first time this season
It’s putting the Exeters of this world away which we now need to do

I am a lot more confident for the rest of the season after seeing that game.
The defence looks so much stronger with Josh Earl in it, he was immense today and with McCart and Pines in the background we have strengthened our weak spot.
Williams needs to be put at right wing back that is the only problem we have there, how many times did he drift out wide right today playing passes down the line? When we lose the ball and he’s out of position the defence is all over the place!
We have to hope that McAtee and Cole stay injury free for the rest of the season as the back ups are dreadful.
We should have had 3 points today granted, but a point at Bolton is a very good point and also makes them worry if we meet them in the play off’s.

Good to hear Earl had a good start for us. Up to now missed chances and defensive errors have generally been the pattern. Yesterday seems it was just missing chances that cost us 2 points. Still say we need a finisher from the free agent or loan market.

Didn’t se the game would have taken a point before kick off.

Next 3 games look winnable let’s hope for a decent points return from them.

    Just seen the highlights.
We should have won that 2-5.
    Easy chances just squandered.

There goal coming from a cross to the back post - a weak spot in the Barnsley team which opponents have recognised this season.
Hopefully the arrival of Pines and Earl will remedy that.
