Well - you spend what you can.
    Same as I do.

A few days ago I was talking to a panel beater for Aston Martin cars.
He was telling me that buying an old Aston Martin that’s been in a barn can cost up to about £500k.
He said then getting it road worthy can cost another £500k or above.
That’s over £1 million just for a car.
Some of the famous people he mentioned have strings of these cars.

    That’s cars.
Other wealthy people might be interested in buying horses or certain pieces of art from certain artists.
Our wealthy owners - like most foreign owners of English football clubs - are interested in football - especially English football.
They want to use their money to buy into the game.
It then becomes a hobby - a pastime - an obsession to try to make it work - to make their club a winner as much as someone buying a race horse would do.
The thrill is not about making money - that part of their life is already well cared for - the thrill is being part of something, the game, and seeing that horse or that club win.

This of course is a totally different mindset to the average guy living in Barnsley that’s had to struggle to earn every penny.
So I understand why some find it difficult to understand.

BTW - that’s these owners - which are like most owners of football clubs.
They cannot be confused with those that were here before.
As we found out - they were here for all the wrong reasons.

I get what your point however most owners of football clubs are fanatics of the game , they are supporters , fans & football lovers who want to get into the game whilst I am afraid that there has not been that kind of connection with the original consortium & newly formed revamped owners are just an extension of Conway & his crew , they allegedly were billionaires who had no connections with football thus to me means they saw it and still see it as a business opportunity , you do not become rich & wealthy by turning into a charity , I will repeat they have no connection with our club & no connection with the game , I might be in a minority but I would love them to move on and sell the club to someone with an affiliation to our club or even an affiliation to our game because simply they do not know the game & the way they run the club is testomy to my thoughts .
