People tend to think of Holland-Dozier-Holland when they talk about Motown song-writers but Robinson wrote quite a few of the label's early hits including their first big one, "Shop Around" which I've always liked. Not personally a great fan of all his stuff (and, although a classic song, I prefer Linda Ronstadt's version of "Tears of a Clown") but then the Beatles, especially George Harrison, were big fans so what do I know?
