Also only one person has named an alternative and that was Evan’s, do you really think SE would have tolerated asking for 5 players and having 5 players shipped out and only 3 in. I do agree LR isn’t helping himself with the cautious football at home but to base an argument that the man that spent more than any other Rotherham manager is better than him on TWO home game performances is insane. We will see next year which one does the best, but I am sure if it is LR it will be excused with something else.
I used the 2 home games as an example because it’s relevant. You know that Derby so stop making out that’s the only reason you are better than that. MT used to get stick week in week out and the he’s only done well because PW got us off to a good start argument came out.
Well it’s relevant then that we played better at home under MT is mentioned.
I go to every game home and away and I’m entitled to my opinion that this style and intent is the most boring negative football I’ve seen from us. I can’t keep paying to watch us just try and not get hammered us supporters deserve better than that.
Hugill as an example why? We are crying out for pace MT would make substitutions early some would work some wouldn’t. LR well tell me why can’t he see it’s just not going to get us anything.
As said already I’m classed as an happy clapper and will always back the manager. I can’t back this set up and intent to try and get something.
I really hope he proves me wrong but to me he’s a poor choice for us and won’t last long.

You make good points, I thought MT came across as someone that thought he was better than he was, he struggled to get any sort of performance out of the team away from home. We were getting worse every week under him, LR needs as least as long as MT had to be judging him, remember warned first season in charge he was awful and in L1 it took until early December to start getting any decent form. What I like at the moment the players want to play, I don’t see anyone not trying even if they aren’t that good, you cannot say that under MT. Morrison banter with the Leeds fans pointing to the Rotherham badge, it at least shows some intent.

    That’s just not true
He masterminded a fully deserved victory at SuFC who got promoted
He also got a backs to wall one at Stoke
We should have won at Luton with a bit more concentration who got promoted
We should have won at Coventry but for a very dubious penalty. They went to Wembley
We should have got a point at Burnley if not for yet another horrendous gaff from the officials. We were winning twice and they went up.

No Manager does the above by struggling to get a performance away from home

This season he was derailed by a catastrophic injury list and we got worse under him because of that reason not by any tactical
Nativity or thinking he was better than he was
If we’d had the majority of our squad available with just the odd injury we would be in Huddersfield,s position now bearing down on the likes of Stoke and Birmingham

All last season and the same excuses for this season, all those matches with someone else’s squad. He led the recruitment and made the decision to take risks with certain players that had a higher risk of injury. It seems the pro-mt fan club don’t see any of his faults and have excuses for his failings. Yet again the manager with the biggest budget of our history and he failed. Before I get accused of not seeing his positives, I do, yes we attacked more at home, yes he brought in Christ and nombe that are good long term investments, but he made mistakes and was sacked because of the outcome, the results. I accept that some think he deserved longer, but others of us weren’t as convinced.
