You are right about the fight in the players this season though. Last season once we went behind it was basically game over but this season the players keep going until the last second.

It shows how much the players are buying in to Collins given how McAtee and Roberts are both loan players yet celebrated the goals and full time winners like they were ours. Hopefully they both will be next season, although I feel McAtee is less likely to be here on a permanent basis.
I didn’t expect Collins to have lost his job if we had lost.
I’m talking about the accumulative effect when the directors look at all the results at the end of the season.

Collins is getting a lot of effort out of these players.
Which is great.
But as I’ve said - IMO this squad is arguably the best set of players in this league.
That’s been further advanced if these new signings turn out to be as good as what they look on YouTube.

So IMO we should be top of the league by now.
We arn’t because Collins has strayed away from the script.
This could go against him when the directors take an overall look at the season come the end of the season.

I’ve forgotten the actual wording of it - its on the official website - but its interesting to read what James had to say about the anniversary of his fathers death in relation to how his father would have perceived the time Ismael was at the club.
I may be reading into this more than there is - but I doubt that’s the case.
James is praising Ismael for how he analysed and approached the game.
In other words - James prefers that type of football.
