    3) Aston Villa 3 Burnley 2, robbed of a point by another ludicrous VAR decision.

    4) Tottenham 1 Burnley 0, a 30 yard screamer from Porro with 12 minutes to go was the only difference between the teams.

    5) Burnley 1 Luton 1, robbed of a win by yet another ludicrous VAR decision.

    6) City 3 Burnley 1, never looked like turning into the City goal-fest many were predicting.

    7) Burnley 2 Fulham 2, quite an impressive late fightback from a team that's got no fight in it.

    8) Liverpool 3-Burnley 1, as they came off at half time I can recall the comms saying Liverpool were lucky they weren't behind.

But for the VAR jokers we'd have had 8 points from 7 games, that equates to 43 points in a full season and well away from the relegation zone. Saturday was a shocker but, as ever, a bit of perspective is required.

Good point Sinkov.Another point to note is that the previous weekend the same outfit put six past the Hammers and Moyes is no mug so I will wait and see what happens at Palace.
After watching Everton v. Palace I am glad VK is now our manager whether it be in the PL or the Championship as SD has created Burnley 2.0 at Goodison and it is awful to watch.

What keeps it interesting on here is the vagaries of opinion and inconsistencies. Perhaps the latter is being unfair.

Thankfully, sinkov keeps perspective. It must be something in the water in Clitheroe.

The players are being developed. They are not the finished product. Compared to other teams, there are some respectable results in those last 8 games against some top teams. Others have fared worse.

Added to that, we have been on the wrong end of some VAR decisions and inconsistent refereeing that have cost us points - as highlighted by some on here calling for VK’s head.

I do not agree with all VK’s decisions but like CiB I would rather we have VK than play like Everton last night. I just wish we had Tarks at the back!

VK leaves Ekdal, Beyer and Al-Dakhil on the bench, plays an untried loanee in the centre of defence against a rampant Arsenal, insists on keeping faith in Ramsey and Delcroix, refuses to give Massengo an opportunity and leaves Benson & Muric out in the cold.

I'm really glad I'm away on my travels for what is most of the rest of this wretched season.

Really S-c? Palace beat us 2-0 at Turf Moor, SD managed a point at Goodison.

Despite the arrival of two dozen new players at Turf Moor the Everton bench is miles better than ours.

Something is going badly wrong somewhere.

When a club like Everton are down in the mire with us, I'd say something is going badly wrong at Everton.

Everything behind the scenes is wrong with Everton mon ami. How SD is keeping that particular $hitfest together is beyond me.

Everton have spent over £500m over the last few seasons and are still not far from us and we have spent £100m and a bag of chips so who is fairing better BT?
Personally I would prefer another season in the Championship with VK than watching Dycheball in the PL.

Faith? I've lost it CiB. It was not Dyche who spunked half a billion quid's worth of the Toffee's Wonga either.

It was one of those "You had to be there" moments to realise how bad it was chaps.

The expectations pre-season after strolling the Championship did not include a gutless, whimpering relegation.

VK chops and changes his line-ups on a whim & a prayer.

The whole situation is mesmerizingly appalling.
It’s a fair point Sinkov makes regarding 8 games and I agree BT we were so bad in this game that it was infuriating , my only questions would be and Sub will have the stats I’m sure , In our season and others at the bottom if you concede 2 goals or more how many times does the team win or draw afterwards.

We start most games positively even Saturday the first 3 minutes we were pushing but without any end product - I sometimes think we train without goalposts if you removed Odebert what would we actually create.?

It takes me back to people slagging of Mcneil but the opposition knew he was our best - only chance of creating short of a set piece - they smothered him and the crowd got on his back.

We are very similar now but not cohesive defensively so we just slip into losses a lot.
