Everybody keeps talking about the frailties of the defence, but what do we expect when they are being asked to play negative football? With any team, the game plan should be to encourage the talents of the team, not expose it. Whoever plays at the back should be coached that their first job is to prevent chances for the opposing team. If that means kicking it forward or into row Z, then so be it.

While we keep playing this form of suicidal football, we are going nowhere.

Wrexham, with much better players than us, had 75% possession against FGR and had to rely on a 93 minute penalty from Paul Mullin.

It doesn't matter who is picked in defence or goalkeeper, things will/could only get worse. They lasted last season on playing teams that weren't as good, a bit of luck and a we'll score more goals than you philosophy. Added to that the confidence level was much higher than it is now, sets us up for a long end to this season and a concern for next.

Would help if we stopped conceding so many penalties, up to 13 now not sure what the record for a season is.
