If there is something tangible maybe fans will tolerate this. If not the only thing to do is to take on more investment. All probably easier said than done. Maybe we should just try to be happy with having a decent L1 club and not bother with a push for owt higher.

Until there is a more level playing field in the champ maybe we should just opt out of it.

The Warne/ Evan's recent years are probably as good as we will get now for a number of years.
Atm we prob need to.get the rufc culture back they had. I dont think.we should get SE back tho because of his alleged treatment of players. Probably.need someone like wood back again to manage us from scratch.
Roly buddy, you say , 'I dont think.we should get SE back tho because of his alleged treatment of players. Probably.need someone like wood back again to manage us from scratch.''

For me it needs someone like Evans to wake up this bunch of non triers. They would be out of the door and replaced in no time. If players thought they were being mistreated, then that's the modern mamby pamby player of today. Don't forget about Daniel Nardello. He said Evo treated him badly shipping him out to wherever he was sent but, he would have resigned for Evo no heitation as he got the best out of him so not as bad as some rumours were made out to be.

As for Captain fantastic Wood returning as Manager, no thanks as he has no experience at all at the moment and it would be required as a pre requisite if we were to be looking to compete and bounce back.

The only logical explanation for that total lack of a game plan by LR, was that he realised RUFC is rotten and going nowhere and he wants the sack so he can get the compo and then manage again at a smaller club with a proper infrastructure.

Do the majority of the players hate us?

OK so I know Victor and Haks don't but what about the rest?

    Poor today.
It's been very poor all season.
Everyone has their own views as to who is to blame. It doesn't change the situation.
Some people will continue to go next year some will pack it in.
    Who wants promotion next year?
I personally will enjoy hopefully being competitive in league 1 for the entertainment value of being at live football but as I feel right now, am not overly bothered about promotion to then have to suffer as I have done this year and in previous years.
I'd still go but getting into the championship is not my motivation for going, live entertainment is the reason.
The way football is structured today requires money to facilitate success .We cannot compete as we are today unfortunately.

I agree Lol......we will have a very good budget next season and I expect us to be at least with a chance of the play-offs.One thing to consider though is that,as much as they might not like it,2 other clubs have to come down with us.......that is a fact, whether they end up 25 points in front! What is now becoming evident from this season is that the gulf between us and the rest is mind boggling.Forget Roundwood, injuries, ref decisions, training pitches,blah,blah,blah........IF all those factors had been totally in our favour, would we still be bottom? In my opinion the answer is a resounding yes. I honestly think The Board are as gobsmacked about this season's failings as the supporters.

Ironically Saw,didn't we only beat them something like 2-0 last July when all other previous years it had been by about 7? Maybe we should have all known then!!

The issue at ruff is not in the managers office, it is in the boardroom. We have been very lucky to have two managers in the last 12 years that got us to a level beyond what we should expect, some of the others have been decent enough (some not) some men know that the club is being run in a way that makes it exceptionally hard to have success. Warne and Evan’s were excellent at what they did and achieved, and deserve credit for their achievements. But there are issues with the chairman and as for as the so called ceo he isn’t fit to run a bath never mind a football club. I had one time when I had to deal with him, in my opinion based on my experience he demonstrated the integrity of boicey and the business know how of del-boy. Look beyond the playing staff and manager to find the issues, and the deterioration is seeping through everywhere you look, from the awful playing surface, to limited professional training infrastructure to the youth set up, underneath the veneer rotting wood

I'm well aware LR has inherited a weakened side and he must be allowed to regroup close season. Having said that, starting with Eaves in such a game of pride was proof he isn't totally switched on. Biggest gripe of the day, who the f*** gave Eaves MOTM.....was it ibs? Such was the joke of the announcement when it was announced.

Hugill did more and got involved more in the 38 minutes he was on than Eaves did all game. I just don't get the Eaves love in and yes I'm not overawed by Hugill of late but I know who I would have started with in such a game.

Somebody please end this doom and gloom of a season, let all the free loading non trying tossers leave and let's see how we fair in League 1 next season.
I get you don’t like Eaves, but to single him out is ridiculous. Maybe he started because he scored in our last 2 games, something Hugill has failed to do for 5 months. As for Nombe, he is so lacking in footballing intelligence that he thinks passing back is the best option when on a fast break.

They are because they are clueless, success has only come getting lucky with evans and warne managing. Every other time the wrong man has been appointed.
This thirst for champs without the wherewithal for it, inc money badly spent, has to stop.

“We have learned from the past”……jesus.

Rotherham losing today made you more excited than a ****age boy finding a stash of jazz mags in the woods.

    I'm right aren't I.
