I do not think that the Gellatly family had full control of Dundee Football Club because I think that John Bett of Bett Brothers was also a major shareholder back in the early 1960’s.
Unfortunately the list of shareholders and the number of shares they held are not easily available in the Companies House website.
Back in the 1980’s the lists of shareholders were hand written and in some cases several Dundee FC players were listed as shareholders.
It's surely not that far to walk from Downfield to the new stadium, assuming it gets built. Watch the Dees and keep fit at the same time, sorted!
