Great result and performance tonight. Made up big time for coming over for the postponed game. All the fans who travelled on that Saturday and again tonight desereved that tonight.
Happy trip back to 'Bucket & Spade land tonight !
Not suggesting we will go close to a push, however, Crawley have a few tough games which include away to Tranmere (in form at home), Mansfield, Wrexham and Barrow (away) among others to play.
IF, and it’s a big IF, we can pick up 9 points from the next 3 games, then a final push is possible.
What we want is a good solid ending to the season so regardless of where we finish we take some momentum in to next season.
In fairness to SM the majority of goals conceded under his tenure were down to individual mistakes, not the system, not lack of motivation. He's been unlucky. Good performances against Mansfield and Wrexham but no return. Deserved at least a point from each. A couple of dire defensive performances of course, Gillingham especially, but we are fragile defensively at the best of times. That's something the new MT gave inherited and without personnel change it will continue to haunt us. Doesn't help that Macca has missed a fair number of chances that earlier in the season he would have put away. Anyway, great effort tonight. We'll done lads!
I’ve just got home after watching the match from the corner diagonally opposite the Notts fans. I can’t agree about “none of the daft mistakes” - there were several, but mostly we recovered from them. Bradford had one excellent attack when they hit the post and should have levelled, but mostly we were in control and thoroughly deserved 3-0.
I’ve completely written off the playoffs but it’ll be nice to look forward to a home game on Saturday and a first home start for Jatta and hopefully a first home win for Maynard.
If onnnnly we hadn’t lost those 4 home games, maybe instead beaten Sutton and one other. Oh well.
