Saw that, how do you even make that mistake
It's a results based business and our results look like being sufficient to achieve promotion. I'm enjoying that bit. It's some of the football that is less enjoyable. Very one dimensional at times. Winning some games despite tactics rather than because of. Taking too much account of the opposition rather than being aware of their dangers, taking some account of them but, mainly, concentrating on what we do and making them deal with that.
I expect the gaffe is down to some clueless PR wonk, knowing that Bolton play on Black and White (or if my memory serves me it used to be dark blue and white) and just getting some stock pictures without looking too closely at them.
Your right MA, it is a results based business and Warne was hired on the basis that he had a track record of promotion from this league. I agree that the football hasn't been scintillating or at least most of it hasn't but some of that I would say is down to Warne having to cobble together a team on restricted resources, meaning he hasn't necessarily been able to get all the players he would ahve wished and has had to play square pegs in round holes. That's been exacerbated by injuries, and yes there's an argument that says maybe he bought some players who had injuries or were injury prone but when your trying to get quality at bargain basement prices, that is a risk one takes and often players who have an injury will recover and not suffer another one.
Then of course there is the human element, when players just don't get going due to fatigue or whatever, one only has to look at Liverpool and @resenal losing at home today to see how nothing is a given in football.
As for fans who like to moan and groan, well they have short memories, just under 2 years ago Derby were in danger of going out of business or worse being sold by seemingly clueless administrators to some American fraud, which would ahve meant the same result it seems now.
From that to a team within touching distance of promotion is something we can all be pleased with. We had an owner who promised to play the "Derby way" and a return to the premier league and look where that got us.
Hers hoping Derby don't **** this up now.
