    Swansea v Millwall

    Swansea v Millwall Sat 04 May 12:30
This is it for another season then, last match and only pride riding on the result.
Both teams have had a turn around in form recently after flirting with relegation. Swans taking 10 points and Millwall 12 from the last six games and both teams are unbeaten in the last four.
Millwall were a point above the bottom three when ex-manager and player Neil Harris took over again at the end of February. They were re*****ised, and have taken 23 points from his 12 games in charge so far.
Luke Williams has finally got the team in winning form after a stuttering start to his tenure and we can look forward to a hard fought battle to end the season Saturday.
A season that promised so much with a new manager and the influx of 13 new players last summer has ended in disappointment and mid-table obscurity. A massive overhaul of the squad is coming with so many high earning players out of contract and the club losing £29m last year.

    Swansea 0 - Millwall 1 (De Norre 72’)
It was a disappointing way to end the season but typified our home form throughout, ten defeats, not good, and once again to a team below us in the table.
If only Grimes had tried something different for the penalty instead of aping his penalty shot from last week’s game. Sarkic obviously did his homework on Grimes and knew where he was going to place the shot.

This match typified our season. We were back to the usual no idea how to break down a defensive block lethargic home display. Always a mistake in us, Ronald gave the ball away and a goal scored in two movements.
The penalty, Grimes body language was easy to read which way the shot was going, a feeble effort.
Why wasn’t Kukharevych given a chance yet again when we were struggling up front, why were loan players picked ahead of our contracted players.
Endless crosses to tiny strikers doesn’t work, it was Groundhog Day, so many times we’ve done this and it’s bound to fail yet we keep on doing it?
    A big clear out needed.

Well boys what a difference a week makes. Played well at Norwich but back to being poor again v Millwall.
It was an odd selection picking the loan players over our own in this last match and our tactics were questionable too.
I wonder if our players at the end of their contracts already knew if they were being released or not, it could have affected how they played.
Wood looks as if he’s off even though his one year contract extension has been triggered.
Well soon find out all the details in the coming weeks.
