I remember back in the 70s reading a biography of Tommy Lawton. Early in his career he had trials with Rotherham United and was rejected!
A bit before my time and largely forgotten these days but he scored 22 goals in 23 appearances for England and became a 'legend' as one of the English greats of his generation.

Ofoe was on loan here just before Evans/Raynor parted company with us back then. By out standards was a great player think our management team then would have liked to have kept him. Could have had something to do in a roundabout way with them leaving.
