Having never seen the Simpsons or anything similar I don't have the same problem as you chris, I just see a decent footballer who could have done a decent job for us in a team which created more chances than when he played for us previously. Both his spells in the PL came when he arrived at Burnley and Man United halfway through a season in which neither club was doing too well.
It could have been a totally different tale if he had had a pre-season with us last season, however, the majority of fans where totally against him and VK knew that, therefore, he was allowed to go to Hoffenheim.

At last a voice of reason Sub - I really can’t see our fans issues with him at all.

They moan all season about a poor squad but we’re the contributors to him leaving again on loan when we really could have done with him.

He’s a workhorse who tirelessly closes down and creates opportunities and also chips in with a few goals as well - what wasn’t to like. ?

He was in the et al bracket mon ami. There have been so many I've lost count. Am I being too harsh on the Foster fiasco? Ten million chucked down the drain. Pace must have money to burn.

Vinni obviously liked what he saw in Belgium, and he still seems to have faith in him to come good. I have a horses to follow list, I'll only take so many defeats before I cross them off the list, I would think Foster is getting close to being crossed off Vinni's list of players to keep, last chance saloon for sure next season.

Thanks Doctor for that diagnosis - we don’t know the circumstances of fosters illness and the others are injuries that happen in football - you’ll know as a footballer that injuries happen sometimes- just the way it is and the older your body gets the more frequent they become and the longer they last.

I can see a footballer in Foster but as Sinkov says he does need to kick on now - maybe a good summer and pre season will sort him out or alternatively he may go home if he’s really in happy.

It's well documented his head had gone. He's been called up to join the South African World Cup qualifier squad. Let's hope a bit of African voodoo magic can get him back to Burnley and looking like a professional athlete. I'm not banking on it though.

He is a bit of an enigma, like army, I can sometimes see a footballer in there, but other times I'm thinking, 'Feck me, this lad wouldn't get in the Dog and Duck Sunday League team.'

Football s like that Sinkov and people are different - even myself at a younger age didn’t believe I was good enough to play like I was and doubted myself a lot - if he has genuine mental health issues the brain can play silly tricks on you and that maybe a reason for his inconsistency.

I say it many times to play at the level he is a represent his country he must have more than we think.
