Players who have missed games this season

Newcastle United players games missed this campaign ...

    10+ games this season

    Trippier
    Isak
    Lascelles
    Miley
    Krafth
    Murphy

    20+ games

    Joelinton
    Wilson
    Anderson
    Pope
    Botman
    Barnes

    30+ games

    Willock
    Targett
    Tonali

And there is the major issue this season, injuries and the players who have needed to cover not always being the strongest quality to do so - mainly the hangover (still) of Ashley's era

Frightening thing is that there are 15 of them and all first choice starters.

Something we need to look at in the Summer.

We weren't anywhere near this badly affected last season so has something changed in our training regime? Was it Europe...bad luck...bad injury management?

Bad luck in injuries has played a part - I mean we've picked up about 7 freak injuries that just couldn't have been accounted for that have kept players out for weeks/months.

But agreed, it has to be looked at.

I see we're hiring a new Performance Director, to go alongside the Sporting Director and their remit will be Science and Medial, so looks like club are putting things in place to try nad avoid in future.

Yep-like playing Botman with an ACL injury or letting Murphy come back from his dislocation too soon.

So that’s at least 9 players who would always be involved on match day missing for at least half the season. Never seen anything like it.

    That was just wrong.

Regardless of what the player says, medical staff should over-rule.
