Stoke have backed every manager that's been at the club since relegation, in fact 60 million was spent by Gary Rowett in our first season back in the championship.
Money has been tighter in recent years purely because of FFP, if you don't understand FFPyou need to read up about it because it affects every league club.
We were very close to breaking FFP which would have meant fines and points deducted.
The clubs owners want to spend money on the team but aren't allowed to ....which seems crazy when we have such rich owners.

Deano I know the rules and like many a cheating club, Stoke could have absorbed the pathetic points reduction just to get to the Premiership such is the badly managed situation of those breaching spending rules and just getting a slap on the wrist. They could have been there 3-4 seasons ago.

I ve thought about this Brin and I'm not sure that a bidding war is possible. It depends how the contract is structured.Say the release clause is 900k then all potential clubs do is trigger that figure but the bidding war is purely based around personal terms between player and club.

Yep that’s it. Anyone who bids the minimum price can enter into discussions on terms then it’s up to the player to decide. I hope there is also a sell-on clause as well as up front fee though.

Yes and that’s why Viktor and his agent have done what they have.
Whoever pays the most money in benefits to the player wins the race. Assuming Viktor likes the club and people etc.

Of course he could have structured the deal where he leaves for free and therefore he would have probably got an even bigger salary. But he didn’t do that, he’s left us something and credit to him again

Why is Stoke a bad move. They are light years above us finance-wise. When did a player last go to a Premier League club direct from the Millers?

    It’s not Jock
Great ground, larger attendances, potential to go up, great training ground, significant away followings, extremely wealthy owner.

The gamblers on here are probably funding Viktor,s salary too so they can still pay their respects for many years to come.
    All good

Victor - the shining bright star in a disappointing season! Good luck where ever you play the game.

It’s been confirmed. Good luck Viktor, a proper Millers legend.

Yes, and in parting Viktor has penned his thoughts.
