    Mikey

“I wish it could’ve finished differently but still such a happy period of my career," said Johnston. "An amazing club with such good people. Thank you for everything [West Bromwich Albion] and to the fans for the unbelievable support you’ve given myself and the team all season."

Would have loved to have managed to keep him but guess it wasn't going to realistically happen unless we could have shifted some of our under contract big wage earners. Think he was as appreciative of the opportunities the club offered him as much as we appreciated his efforts and ability on the pitch.

Celtic heads over here in Dublin say he wanted away as the present manager didn't take to him or his approach. He just wants to be playing football but very little chance with the manager. It was a showcase loan.
My understanding is he wouldn't be against a permanent move but not down to him. Others have taken note, apparently Ipswich were more then interested as were Norwich. Mot sure if he has family in the that area.

Not sure about away grounds but I know for a fact Fulham scouted him on at least two occasions at the Hawthorns.

Any chance Rogers would be tempted with 15 million Karlan Grant for a straight swop for Mikey? I would even throw in Townsend to seal the deal!!!
