Also the idea that Man City are suddenly gonna come after Bruno as they can't bring in Paquetta is baffling to me.

Yes City are one of the only clubs that can afford him and it would be great option for his career. However, just because a club can and does trigger the release clause it doesn't mean that play will leave.

Man City Midfield - Rodri, KDB, Silva, Kovacici, Foden & Stones seemingly playing some kind of total football free roaming role. Bruno would be one of many where as he is 1 of 1 at Newcastle, he is the heartbeat of the NUFC midfield.

Not saying that would put Bruno off but with Joelinton signing a new contract also has a pull.

Guess we'll have to keep everything crossed until the end of June.

He knows he will win things at city, now, not in 3 or 4 yrs time with Newcastle, hopefully it will be sooner but he won’t wait for ever, we have to show intent this summer.

Aye thats the thinking we are trying to instill. Knowing he will win things in the short term and I agree there has to be intent shown every window that that could happen.

Would he start at City immediately though. Not guaranteed is it?

The players should suffer financial consequences not the clubs and fans.

It's clear that at City players will win things straight away.

From Eddie Howe's point of view he will have no doubt challenged all this players to do better next season as this season no one from top to bottom has achieved what they had hoped/had in the back of their minds. Another top 4 finish.

We finished 10 points off achieving that feat.

    3 wins 1 draw.

We lost 8 or 9 games more this season than last. Realistically had we had even 80% of the squad fit for those matches we'd have 100% taken 10 points from them.

    Liverpool at home 1-0 up lost 1-2 ( +2 points )
Luton away 1-0 loss we should have thrashed them ( +3 points )
Forest away 3-1 Wood Hatrick FFS - another poor loss ( +3 points )
    Bournemouth at home 2-2 ( + 2 points )

there is 10 points there 7 against 3 of the 4 worst teams in the league this season.

The players have no one to blame but themselves. All the media noise around 'The club keeping the players happy is complete BS'

The players are grown men, they are responsible for their own actions in the professional duty of representing the club, their employers and the life long die hard committed fan base.

Whilst Bruno could leave, I genuinely believe he will feel he owes the club one more season for not achieving what he and the rest of the squad set out to achieve last summer.

League must be pretty sure they have some damning evidence as they have called for a lifetime ban.

I read that total winnings was around 100k.
If true, how stupid or naive they could risking their whole careers for a weeks sallary?

May be I ask too much from a young lads in early 20s, who just got out of, if not poverty, then definitely some tough **** growing up.

And I also think that it has always been a problem among pro athletes, but nowadays bookies just have more analytics and data to monitor suspicious activities. So I expect more to follow

All of the above lost points were due to the weakened squad due to the horrific injuries plus the suspension.

Had all of the fringe players in the squad been first choice selections then we wouldn't have been in that position.
