If they cant see or believe in the project beyond next season then maybe its the right thing.

If they want to leave they will leave. Europe conference league will not keep them happy. We want volunteers not hostages. This will take time and sometimes people seems to forget that.

That is the difference between Man Utd and us, they know how to win in the important games, we always seem to fall at the last hurdle

Two pretty clear penalties not given to Man City makes you wonder Manure cant go without europe for a season now can they, In a way no europe next season is a good thing we will be fresher and can make another serious push for top 4 again.

I think this outcome puts additional pressure on the team to succeed next season.
It is kinda make or break

    One blo0Dy job City FFS!

Typical snide fluky Red Filth BS!

They are the most underservingly lucky scumbags in the game.

There is a chance Chelsea will not be allowed to play UEFA football due to their spending but it's clutching at straws.

Hope this doesn't have too much of a detrimental effect on our summer recruitment, also not having the mid-week away days in Europe will be a blessing for our league form.

    Silver linings and all that.

I F**KING HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE these fluky red C***s man

    (excuse the language.)

    Aye.

    Well said Rag.

This is only 2nd time in a decade that the team finishing 7th won't get European football.

Can't bloody believe, one game we needed City to turn up for.

Agreed. But, if (IF!) we can keep our best players and also improve the squad in key areas then our chances next season will be great. A better more in-depth squad, and less meaningless but tiring fixtures should mean less injuries and less fatigue.
I was gutted at today's result - which I thought pretty near impossible, but I sholud know by now that there's no such thing in football. But my initial reaction was that its a disaster and any sort of European football was necessary to keep us on track.
Settled down a bit now, and I'm thinking that the Conference League was only really "keeping up appearances" of being on track. Yes, next season is huge, but I think we'll be in good shape to tackle it head on.
