The reality is that the vast majority of all our generations are pretty much fine as they are. There are useless 60 year olds, and there are gifted, hard working 19 year olds. We could always improve education and opportunities, but the tired line about the country being broken is nothing but right wing horse****, pulling at the free time and unspent anger of (mostly) older voters. I dare say in 1960 that many older men thought youngsters then were soft.
