MAD site not working...time to move poll>

that should not make any difference as all the boards will be on same server the there is unlikely to be rate limiting by board. I just looked and the boards are hosted with a company called Hyve in the UK. Their reviews are ok on the whole. I would say that as the hosting is on a shared server there are other things on the server causing the outages - other processes running chewing up the bandwidth not related to footymad. Seems to be worse late at night UK time early morning here which is when I usually read the board ( had to wait until lunch time today middle of the night in UK).

Thank you. Looking at how many posts the Cardiff site gets I will check from time to time to see how they cope and how their fans respond.

I must say, MAD are pushing their luck if they don't sort this loading problem out soon. I previously voted to stay on the grounds that they've always resolved such issues in the past, but it's been going on too long now.

It’s time now for MAD to act and sort this issue out once and for all. Again yesterday evening there were problems in which the site could not be accessed.

There are people like myself who have used this site regularly for over 20 years and others only a short time all of whom contribute and make the board what it is.

It would be a shame if the site was left to fall by the wayside and we were forced to go elsewhere. Especially as our particular board is one of the more engaging and lively ones.

Hopefully whatever issues are being experienced are resolved quickly.

It's definitely getting worse isn't it. Is anyone else suddenly getting a deluge of adverts too? I'm getting whole page ads when logging in, adverts between posts, and even adverts in the middle of posts now. Never had that before.

Am changing my vote to move rather than stay.

There are quite a few businesses with websites at above address, not limited to football websites linked to that address on google search and it seems like this one most / all of the sites are very old. A few travel sites, golfing and other stuff. Either the accountants or something more sinister! Maybe owned by Russell King ha ha.

This site is one day going to disappear randomly and not come back. I doubt the advertising revenue covers the running costs. Probably need to move!

Not on desktop (thanks to my a*-b*****r) but on mobile it's almost unreadable now. The worst are the full page of ads between the poster's name and what they wrote!

Since I sort of closed the poll as opinions were pretty much equal (and we all know what happens when you make a big decision with such a small majority!!! )
It has got significantly worse imo.

I think this board, technically speaking, is on its last legs.
Been difficult last 48 hrs checking for posts or messages etc…

I’ve noticed recently when accessing the site via a mobile the adverts are more “in your face” for want of a better phrase. They are even appearing in the middle of a post which I’ve not noticed before.

If we were to move to the new site it definitely needs a change of name so that search engines can show it.
Virtually impossible now because it keeps coming up with this site.
What is wrong with "V I T A L Football"? Seems to be working. Do we have some history with it back in the day?
Just had a quick look and that lot over the river seem to be fairly active on there.
