I watched most of the live stream, and to be honest I've run out of insults for this pathetic bunch. I've regularly used spineless, gutless, passionless, tame, timid, cowardly and frightened. I'm sure there must be more.

It's difficult to see us avoiding defeat against the mighty Derbyshire tomorrow on this showing.

It's looking that way at the half way point. After 10 overs we had them 76/4, and should have been chasing a modest score. But this is Notts, so we allowed them to reach 198/6.

You would hope the batsmen have to come good one day, but as I type Joe Clarke goes first ball!

Notts CCC are simply hopeless. Let's just forget about this year.

As for England football tonight:
Uh, were they drugged? Honestly, it was that bad. Iceland seemed a metre faster to a man.
Even though it was a truly awful performance - not one player came out of that with any credit - they should still have got something out of the game. Terrible miss by Kane. And what on earth was Cole doing when put clean through?
At least these "warm up" games put the coming tournament in perspective. We have not got a hope in hell.

Perhaps someone will correct me as I’ve lived north of the border for nearly 25 years but this must be the worst performing side to represent Notts in the T20 Blast. It’s not just losing but the manner in which they are being beaten which is tantamount to being hammered each time. I maybe wrong but I felt that their past T20 performances were usually ok and masked deficiencies in the other formats of the game. Must now be time for a change at managerial, recruitment and coaching level.
