Absolutely no chance of that happening. Rooney,Joe Cole and Jill Scott on Channel 4 all saying of course they can win it.

tbf they are favourites which they haven't been before in major competitions
    roughly they're 3/1, France 4/1, Germany 5/1, Portugal 7/1, Spain 8/1, 14/1 bar.

It pains me to say it but they should be winning it and I think they will win it. They’ve now got the prefect blend of youth, experience, depth, quality and of course tournament know how having recently been in quarters, semis and a final. Combine this with no doubt the usual jammy draws where they’ll somehow avoid France who I think are the only side who can realistically stop them and regretfully I think it only adds up to one thing.

Of course I absolutely and desperately hope I end up completely wrong.

As daft as it sounds given France have been to last two world cup finals, they seem to stutter through and never play to their full potential, given the quality they have at their disposal. last world cup they were pretty much second best against England, Morocco and Argentina for about 70 mins, in fact they were awful in some of those games, but more often than not squeeze through due to a bit of individual brilliance. They had best squad at last euros and were poor most games too. Deschamps is very conservative coach, would be interesting to see them with a more attack minded manager.

I was at the Scotland match last night. As soon as we made the subs it went downhill.

And I got home after 1am. Grim traffic all the way, I had to go through Denny at one point FFS. 😂

Is Hampden no the worst National soccer Stadium. Nightmare to get to, garbage facilities, and really a national embarrassment.
Only kept going to appease the bigotry of its two major clubs for major finals and to give them their own end at the national stadium.
Suppose after Rangers “friendly” against Man Utd at Murrayfield leaves Edinburgh looking like Gaza we will or understand why you don’t want hordes of them roaming outside their city.

Hampden should have been binned years ago. We should have built a new stadium in Stirling..central for everyone, backdrop of Stirling Castle and the Wallace monument.

Well at least the recent friendlies haven't raised our expectations only to be crushed in the next 3 games Ally McLeod style.

Thought we were a bit better against Finland until the subs changed things. Positives were seeing McGregor at least reaching 3rd gear, McGinn getting back to what we expect to see, a nice finish from Shankland and the cameo from Tommy Conway. Plus what we expect from Tierney and Robertson.

On the negative side our central defence still looks like a bombscare when it's retreating. Surely he has to bring Porteus back in? Ralston looks steady but will get done by real pace without help. And no sign yet of McTominay and Armstrong.

Ah well, here we go, my heart says if we can keep our best 11 on the pitch for 90 minutes we've maybe got a small chance. But my head says we don't.

    Rise up lads 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
