I actually thought you had a bit more sense and ability to think critically than Stovic. Live and learn.

No I didn't vote against any of those people because I wasn't aware there had been an opportunity to do so. Perhaps you can enlighten me when it was?
The serious point is there were a number of senior people on the council who could, and most certainly should have intervened but they chose not to.
This is not political point scoring it's a running sore that still blights our town to this day.

What is disgraceful and embarrassing is that the people of Rotherham had a chance in the very next local elections after the scandal to kick out local Labour but they didn’t. I didn’t vote for em and haven’t done since . You might not like being reminded of what happened but it did under their watch . It’s brought shame on this town and Rotherham fans get reminded every home game. It’s still happening.

You stick with the Tories on the back of a daft football analogy if you want, but I'm going to pass.

According to reports the perpetrator in Barnsley threw wet concrete from the construction site.
Wet concrete will cause burns to the skin and eyes due to the chemicals within it, and could have affected many people not just Mr Farage. He might have blinded someone

The footage shows him being apprehended by a uniformed Officer.
Astonishing behaviour and he deserves everything that’s coming his way

Everyone should be allowed to campaign no matter their political beliefs without fear of incidents such as the one today in the centre of my town .

Whilst in my opinion Farage isn't a serious politician he's none the less a right to be heard .

There's plenty of talk in certain circles that Starmer is a bit more left wing than he's portraying currently and since he became leader of the Labour Party .

Certainly his early background was very left wing and let's not forget he was a key figure under Jeremy Corbyn .

If elected with a huge majority as looks likely and the confidence that goes with that are we going to see the real Keir Starmer emerge ?

Further more the Conservative Party after such a kicking in the forthcoming election are likely to be fighting like rats in a sack in deciding which direction they are going to go which again lends itself towards a Starmer government becoming more radical than the hand they are currently displaying with very little in the way of opposition to concern them .

It doesn't seem to make too much sense given Starmer since becoming leader has ruthlessly put as much distance between himself and his shadow cabinet and the left of the party .

However the left of the party were pretty much damaged goods to be anywhere near the top table of the Labour Party after 2019 but that was the characters concerned and not necessarily the policies they wished to govern on which were pretty well accepted by many of the electorate .

Personally I don't know but what I do know is that huge majority winners such as Thatcher and Blair changed this country massively with things that were never in their manifestos .
