It may be unlikely that the current manager will be there for long if he persists with throwing his better players under a bus.

    All taking shape nicely now, by my reckoning we should still be in the market for;

    First choice GK
    1 (Ideally central) CB
1 RWB/RW to compete with Nemane
2 CM - 1 for competition/until Palmer match fit, 1 more experianced for cover given we've lost Jim/Bostock

Plus potentially a LWB/LW to provide cover/competition for Jones?

All this assuming we'll be keeping hold of Jones/Crowley et all.

With everyone fit our starting 11 is looking a GK and a CB short of a damn strong side, our fate depends heavily on the quality of the keeper we bring in now for me, crucial we get this one right but positive signs if signings so far anything to go on.

Exactly. This attitude may work for the France or Germany manager, but Malta have a tiny pool of players to work with, so to alienate JJ is baffling. He may not always be up for travelling across Europe for meaningless friendlies, but with his history of injuries I think it's understandable that he doesn't want to overload his schedule. Jodi's a League 2 player but we all know he could play much higher... Malta are very lucky to have him.

If we can find decent u21s like Macari (I think) and Robertson last year who don’t need to be registered then great.
So you want to call in the two smallest members of the squad to play centre midfield when we've identified we need physical presence there? Especially after losing Bostock and JOB who offered a more physical presence? We need two centre midfielders that allows us to rotate

You referring to Palmer and Crowley playing in a 3? If so then yes I would want them in the starting 11. We’ve made a great start, adding physicality to the side but I’d still like to see players who can control and create with the ball. You’re deluded if you think we’re suddenly going to field a team of 6ft + players and completely go away from our style of play.

What I find really interesting at Notts with transfers is that we are comfortable offering longer term contracts. In L2 it is generally unheard of. Notts aren’t doing this on a whim, as a club they believe that they can provide an environment where a player can progress, whilst hopefully taking the club forward. All whilst giving the player stability and the club leverage of said player turns out to be awesome.
The other thing that Bedeau said, he spoke to the club last week. So clearly the club are talking to players and maybe we don’t ask for an instant commitment. Something along the lines of, we want you, we believe the contract reflects that, just make sure you talk it through with friends/family and let us know.

Also means that if they are good enough for others to want to sign then we can command a fee for them. Whilst we do not get this right all the time I would say that the deadwood percentage is far lower than under previous owners for a considerable time back.

    Starting to look good!

I am honestly doubtful we will get a better keeper - always difficult at our level let alone wanting one with distribution skills. But overall, our side is starting to look a LOT stronger defensively.

With the way we play we'll never have one of the strongest sets of defensive stats (most likely) but we score so much we could do very well with a middling defense statistically.

I think we’ll sign a young up and coming keeper from a championship side on loan.

    Cant see that model changing.
