After a crap drive into the trees but a good recovery shot I had the choice of at least 7 clubs to use for my 3rd and for once picked the right one.

A birdy 4 today. Difficult hole with lots of hardish decisions on the lie of the club and some dodgy bunkers...once on the green, putting went well.

How do big birds become little birds and little birds become pars? When the scorer decides to change the card, that's when. I noticed that at the 'real' US Open they are playing the 8th and 16th holes as par 4s and not par 5s so I've made the necessary alterations to our game. Everyone is affected the same so don't fret. Howdy's birdie today nudges him one shot ahead of raging and 2 ahead of CT as we prepare to play the last 2 holes.
