How fast do other teams play compared to england?

Mind u there are so many times players cheat / feign injury after seeing replays - we seem to be more honest than most

Just hope we take a different attitude next game and for christs sake speed up

Germany set the tone in the first game and all the other teams seem to play with pace and press the opposition when they can.
We have the players to do that.......but not the manager.

What a fantastic game of football, the best yet!

France could have been well out of sight but did enough to win the game and a big well done to Austria for making it great viewing.

Euro game today - Turkey v Georgia ..... KO 17.00

Today sees Group F games the first one being Turkey v Georgia.

Manager Willy Sagnol says tournament debutants Georgia will "give everything we have" at Euro 2024.

Sagnol's side qualified for their first international major tournament by beating Greece in a penalty shootout in the play-off final. "We are somewhat the wildcard, slipping into this tournament rather unnoticed," said boss Sagnol.

"What's certain is that whether we're playing Portugal, Czech Republic or Turkey, we will never give up and give everything we have."

Meanwhile, Turkey failed to qualify from the group stages of the previous two tournaments but manager Vincenzo Montella has eyes on winning matches from the start. "We want to make our fans proud and play with passion and courage," said Montella.
"We have a nice mix of young, talented players and guys like Calhanoglu, who are experienced role models, so we have a chance. "We have some big absentees because of injuries but we have to focus and have faith in the people we have here with us. "We didn't get through the group stage in our last two, so we really need to start taking points and winning matches from the start."

    A few match stats:

The sides have never met in a major tournament but Turkey have won three of their friendly encounters (W3-D1-L1).
Georgia beat Greece in a penalty shootout in the play-off final to qualify for their first major tournament.
Turkey failed to make it out of the group stage at Euro 2020 after losing to Italy, Wales and Switzerland.
These two sides have not met since 2012, when Turkey won 3-1.
Turkey have never won the opening game of their previous five European Championship matches.
Arda Guler became the first Turkish player to win the Champions League - he was on the bench for Real Madrid's victory in June

Euro game today - Portugal v Czech Republic ..... KO 20.00

Another tasty sounding tie to hopefully be entertained by.

Portugal defender Ruben Dias described Cristiano Ronaldo as an "inspiration" as he prepares to make history by appearing in a sixth European Championship.
The veteran forward first played at a Euros in 2004 and has scored in every edition since.
Should he score in Germany this summer he will also become the tournament's oldest-ever scorer.
Portugal begin their Euro 2024 campaign in Group F against 1996 finalists the Czech Republic at Leipzig's Red Bull Arena.

Since taking charge of the Czech Republic in January, boss Ivan Hasek has overseen friendly wins against Norway, Armenia, Malta and North Macedonia.
This will be his first competitive game and he has challenged his players to nullify the threat of Ronaldo.
"We want to neutralise Ronaldo. Especially for our guys, they will remember this their whole life," Hasek said.
"Ronaldo is one of the best players and they will be able to say they played against him and maybe they will even be successful."

There is, of course, more to the Portugal squad than Ronaldo, with Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo Silva also capable of winning games Czech captain Tomas Soucek has regularly faced both in the Premier League for West Ham.
"Everybody watches the Premier League so they know how these guys play," he said.

    Match stats:

Portugal have won each of their past four matches in all competitions against the Czechs (10 goals for, one against), keeping a clean sheet in each of the past three.
Portugal are the only team to reach the knockout stages of the Euros at each of the past seven editions, a run stretching back to the 1996.
Portugal were the only team to win 100% of their games in the Euro 2024 qualifying campaign (10/10). They also scored more goals than any other team (36) while attaining the best defensive record (two goals conceded in 10 games).
Only two of the Czech Republic's past 24 matches at the Euros have ended in a draw (W10 L12), both of these coming against Croatia (2-2 in the 2016 group stages, 1-1 in the 2020 group stages).
Cristiano Ronaldo holds the record for most games (25), most goals (14), joint-most assists on record (six – since 1972) and most editions with at least one goal (five) at the Euros.

Saint George is there in spirit. He’s been fighting with the Turks by the looks on social media.

1-1 and Georgia are right back in this after VAR ruled out a Turkish goal

Turkey are getting back on top

I agree but I’d add Italy to it. Their game was great for the first 25 mins
