    Donald Sutherland RIP

Has passed away aged 88 - so many memorable films but will always remember him as Oddball in Kelly's Heroes

One of the very best actors in history for me.

    Eastwood

    Hackman

    Sutherland

Giants of the past 70 years of movies.

Agree. I would put Duvall and de Niro in too, plus Nicholson..I loved invasion of body snatchers. 1977 I think. Great cinema back then. Practical Effects.like in Alien and the thing. Now it’s all cgi. Rest in peace mr Sutherland.

Sad news indeed and one of my favourite actors. With appearances in over 200 films he was in some dross as well as the great ones but he was one of those actors who had true "screen presence" and was always watchable. Even the smaller roles he took in later life lifted the films he was in. My own personal favourites of his include Klute, Don't Look Now and Kelly's Heroes. RIP sir and thanks for the memories.
