Might give someone a cheap Monday morning early flight home. Always best to fly early.

Euro game today - Switzerland v Germany ..... KO 20.00

Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann has dismissed suggestions his side would prefer not to beat Switzerland on Sunday in order to avoid potentially facing Spain in the Euro 2024 quarter-finals.
The hosts have already qualified after winning their opening two games, but topping Group A puts them on track to play Spain, who have won both of their games so far and look likely to win Group C.
"At the end of the day it's difficult to talk to your team and tell them to lose," he said.
"That doesn't make sense for competitive people. Normally you play a football game to win and tomorrow's a game to win."
Nagelsmann said Switzerland - who are currently second in the group with four points, two fewer than Germany - are "probably the best opponent" they will face in the group stage.
"It'll be an interesting match - and we want to win," he said.
Germany have won 5-1 against Scotland and 2-0 against Hungary so far, while Switzerland saw off Hungary with a 3-1 victory before drawing 1-1 with Scotland.
Scotland and Hungary meet in Stuttgart in the group's other game.

Do they win or do they let Switzerland have an easy game and passage through?

I can see Hungary scoring on the break.

Are Hungary so bad they need to play Scotland on the break?

They need a win, you'd be fuming if you were Hungarian.

Well well, Germany are losing to the Swiss! Obviously don't want to face Spain next.

NB. I take it back, Germany did score but had it disallowed for a foul on a Swiss defender.

The third games will kick off at the same time in each group.
Some will be 5pm, some will be 8pm.
It’s standard procedure and is so no team gains an advantage by knowing the result of the other game in the group.

All that possession from Scotland with not one shot on goal. This type of football will not get them through.

I think if they lose it puts them in our half of the draw doesn't it? Potential QF game? That's assuming we win our group.

Not sure pal. I know had we finished top and Germany the same, we would have met in the quarter finals.
