Personally, I'd rather that Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland did well in competitions so, unless they are playing England, wish them well.

As for Scotland, I think that they were unlucky tonight as that certainly looked like a penalty but then again they didn't create enough chances in the game and Hungary were always pushing.

The fact is that Scotland simply lack the quality to progress far in these competitions. It's no good having a handful of half decent players in international games, you need the whole team to be of a standard. ( Mind you, even that's no good if your manager can't get them performing...)

Same here Omeg, always support the home nations unless they are playing England. In the Olympics, we are Great Britain and Northern Ireland, so the mentality is different from football as we all cheer on the GB and NI athletes.

It is the footballing mindset that differs I suspect.

As for the penalty that wasn’t. As Leicester says what a poor decision and why no VAR! I thought VAR had to look at anything in the penalty area. Absolutely crazy.

Totally agree with you OB, I support all of the home nations. Most families have some relation who is either from Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland. Mind you, the same applies to them, they should also support England.
