Sadiq Khan bans the England flag

I've always voted Labour as of all my family,I was a paid up Labour party memberand a proud trade unionist .
I cancelled my Labour membership due to how the party revolved and ignoring the rank and file by trying to block Brexit .
It's hard for to say but my wife and I have voted Tory, postal vote . Our MP Shaun Bailey is the best MP we had for years , he gets things done .
I told him he got my vote because he is a good local MP and it didn't matter what party he represents.
I'm guilty like most people of just voting for the party , not the actual MP .

Shame they didn't do a better job of blocking Brexit. The country would be much better off for it!

Great post, and the reason everyone should research and vote for their local candidates, irrelevant of party. True democracy, so don't overthink things, and vote for career politicians who will just take the party whip.

I think that I will be voting for an independent, a local councillor who does a lot for the area and gets things done. OK, so he won’t win the seat, but at least I will be voting for the one that I consider to be the best on the ballot paper for this constituency.

The main parties are not fit to govern. Of the three main party leaders, I would much prefer Rishi Sunak to the other two, despite the man being seemingly out of touch with most people. I believe Starmer to be as much of a liar as any of them and as for Ed Davey, he comes across as a complete fool.

The banning of flags or otherwise, has nothing whatsoever to do with me disliking him; in my opinion, he’s a horrible little man.

I would entirely expect you to think that given the negative and outrageously unfair/misleading press coverage he gets.

The whole subject matter of this post being a perfect example.

So what’s your problem with our flag then mate.why don’t you like the fact that people are getting suspicious of people like Khan who seems to want to undermine our traditions and dilute our customs.not every person with an England flag are Right wing.I certainly agree that part of the far right have but when it comes to a tournament of footie people should fly it where they can.

I have zero problem with our flag. I have no problems with it being flown, I’m happy to see it.

But I’m very interested to know why you think I do have a problem with it? Because I have expressed support for Khan? If so that is a bizarre association, and maybe this has more to do with you than me.

I live in London and see no evidence that he undermines my traditions or customs.
