Ah Croasdale would have been a decent signing for us. Probably a bit on the expensive/old side for our strategy though, so fair enough.

    I certainly don’t think he’s past it.
12 goals playing behind the striker is not bad. I think he struggled after his injury.
We just need to manage his game time better next season.

Does anyone know if the players ‘allowed to seek opportunities elsewhere’ are still at the club or have they mutually agreed to cancel their contracts? I assume they have, because we have players listed as available for transfer and there must be a difference.

I think they are still at the club and under contract, and unless another club comes in for them, they'll remain at Notts. The problem is, players like Rawlinson and Stone may have to take a pay cut to find another club, which they may not be willing to do.

Billy Sharp has signed for Doncaster Rovers.

He might be 38, but I'm sure he still knows where the net is.

Depends on how much you want to play football and try and earn an extra year or two on a new contract. In Rawlinsons case I still think he would do a good job as the old head in a back four..

As Jon Parkin so succinctly puts it - no dough, no go.

The club offered the player a deal and if they want to see it out and be professional and available then why shouldn't they.

I wouldn't have thought they'd have made it public unless the player was on board though.

No, it's the same players. Just wording in the press release.

"Connell Rawlinson has been made available for transfer...
...goalkeeper Aidan Stone and winger Will Randall will be given the opportunity to pursue opportunities elsewhere."

    "Under contract, available for transfer

    Aidan Stone
    Connell Rawlinson
    Will Randall"

It's the club inviting offers for them. They remain under contract but I guess have been told game time will be very limited next season if they stay.

There are things that I still know where they are but can't manage any more to get there.
