Our club is a mess at the moment.

With no proper management team in place the players will be unsettled. The likes of Berge won't want to hang around and others will be asking their agents to orchestra them moves

We really are in a mess. These Yanks don't appear to know their arse from their elbow and if they don't show some proper leadership qualities, the club could be entering a period of disaster

I once was one to look on the positive side, but this lot fill me with doom and gloom. They really need to get their act together and turn this sh!t show round

I take it you were ok with them a couple of seasons ago?
I'm also not sure what the nationality of the owners has to do with anything
I know in the world of football manager everything is done in minutes, however, in the real world multi million pound decisions and appointments take time, especially when it came out of the blue that a top club would come calling for our manager. None of us saw it coming, so why should the board have been any different. It's not their fault that another big club are trying to beat us to appointing one of their ex players.
I really don't know what they could have done different in the circumstances.

I suppose they could have done what 16 out of the 17 clubs who have changed their manager after the end of the season have done, ie, appoint a new one.

You can't ignore the nationality of a football club's owners, American businessmen will have a very different approach to running Burnley FC to that taken by an English businessman like Mike Garlick, you can't ignore the fact that 80% of Newcastle is owned by Saudis, or that 80% of Manchester City is owned by the Abu Dhabi Group, Roman Abramovitch has recently discovered what his nationality has to do with anything.

I get a little feeling that it could still be RVN yet. Despite some paper talk, there has still been nothing official about him going to UTD. Plus, it looks like there is some unrest there with Tag Hag and the Utd Board.

It all still seems a bit up in the air for all parties.

I don't ignore it, it's just that it's only ever used against pace and Co in either a negative way or abusive way. I didn't see any "well done yanks" when we won the league

Or as I've pointed out previously, we could have done it in 2/3 weeks as we did with Coyle, Howe, Dyche and Ternent. These managers have been in the game all their lives, there's very little not known about them, and nothing that can't be discovered in 30 minutes on Google and a couple of phone calls. I remain intrigued, what do you think our owners can find out about a prospective manager in six weeks, that they couldn't find out in three ?

I didn't see anyone criticising Mr Pace or ALK after last season's debacle, the blame was laid fair and square where it belonged, on Vincent Kompany's head.
