Albion are delighted to confirm the permanent signing of midfielder Ousmane Diakité, subject to international clearance.

Diakite has signed a two-year contract at The Hawthorns, with a further year’s option in the club’s favour.

The 23-year-old made 34 appearances for Austrian Bundesliga side TSV Hartberg last season, scoring two goals.

Welcome to the club young man.

Whatever you do, do NOT Google his injury record.

Never know though he could be fine now.

Whilst I’m initially disappointed as I felt he showed some promise, I guess those with better judgement of potential are probably right.
