He probably would only manage 200k but I doubt some clubs who might want him would be prepared to pay even that. at paying that.

He's got plenty. Will be in the Championship at the end of next t season. And in the meantime, has a 3 year deal on very good money, I would think.

Interesting our scouting/recruitment department has just done exactly what we've been reminiscing about from Dario and Bakes' day, and signed a youngster from non-League in Fin Roberts, in the hope we can develop him as a striker. (Steve Jones or Luke Varney would be very welcome again!)

OS just now - they certainly seeming to be trying to get people in befiore training next week. We need a second keeper soon mind you, if only for pre-season game. is Westwood still round Reaseheath?: Crewe Alexandra are delighted to announce the signing of Jack Lankester from Cambridge United.

The 24-year-old creative attacker has penned a three-year deal with The Railwaymen after undisclosed terms were agreed with the League One club.

Lankester, who can play wide or centrally, came through the ranks at Ipswich Town and went on to make 30 appearances for the Club.

He switched to Cambridge United in 2021 and made 123 appearances, scoring eight times, during three seasons there.

Lankester has become Lee Bell’s third senior summer signing, following striker Kane Hemmings and defender Jamie Knight-Lebel.

Everybody at Crewe Alexandra would like to welcome Jack and wish him all the very best for the future.

More creative than attacking, going by his goalscoring record. However he's signed a three year deal and...did money change hands? Somebody definitely rates him. Anybody know anything about him?
Okay so we almost have a starting eleven ( with maybe a spare at the back), now apart from another goalkeeper and defensive midfielder, what else do we need?

Quality football. Definitely not the rubbish we had last season.

It seems he's had 2 back injuries with surgery. He was quite promising before his injuries, being in an England U19s squad. He is just 24 and hence, possibly, why money changed hands. 123 appearances in 3 years. So why did they let him leave?
