Maybe they have a better understanding of players values? Maybe Gateshead fans thought he was worth more than 50k and he could do better than NL,Notts County. Meanwhile many Notts fans were thinking,’who’? Why are we signing NLN players? Maybe Millwall fans are thinking why are we signing/gambling on L2 players?
If he does go let’s keep a bit of class and wish him and Millwall well. I’ll certainly be looking out for their results and I hope they get as much enjoyment watching him as we did

On a serious note, unless a player wants to go why sell when promotion is the aim. You won’t get another striker to score as many goals as him and you won’t pay that much for one either so what’s the point unless the ambition doesn't match the fans. On a more positive point I think if we still create the chances we have the forwards to put um in, hasn’t got to be langstaff.

Once a player knows that the personal terms are 3 or 4 times what he's earning in L2 then it's very difficult for everyone concerned
What would any of us do in that situation?
I think we have a policy of not standing in a player's way if a life changing opportunity like this comes along
It will help in attracting other prospects in similar circumstances in future
Millwall are a staging team themselves. Some very famous names went to Millwall then stepped up to the very top level
