    Symptomatic of today's society, anything that's said will be interpreted as some kind of "phobic" by someone, mainly drama queens.

    TBF the meaning is "over emotional gay man" so is a bit offensive isn't it.

    EDIT: It is also used derogatory to women as well.

    Why would anyone want to use the phrase when there's plenty of other descriptions to use.

    None of the dictionary definitions from major dictionaries that I've been able to find include any reference to a gay man?

    ETA: I've just found one... https://www.ldoceonline.com/dictionary/drama-queen but it does seem to be an outlier.
