As the poster labelled "drama queen," I am personally not offended. It is obviously crass and typifies many on this forum that seek to belittle people they don't agree with by using derogatory phrases. To some degree we all do it. However, getting back to the point, I feel that a team that has been stripped of half its players, lost its main star, and has been boosted by a lot of unknown quantities and returning long-term injured players is very worrying. Female dramatic monarch or not. Plus the team's quality will hinge on the performance of an unproven League 2 coaching team. I am struggling to see this as a promotion scenario.

Very good post WP. I'm with you on the scepticism.

Generally, I don't like a high level of turnover with the team - I prefer gradual evolution with players you get to know over longer than one of short lower league contracts.
I know squad change is a massive part of the game, but you could see every departure as a failure - a recruit that didn't work, a good player we couldn't persuade to stay etc. Like with the Stubbsy, Bradd era it's always better when players stay IMO.

Back to the subject, my scepticism won't descend too deep into negativity because we're an EFL club again, and I'm still on a high from that. Even with a massive clearout, that make us Maynard United, surely we won't be threatening the 23/24th spots again
