If you think hostages are well treated because they haven't been starved, you don't feckin have a moral compass.
I think your moral compass has been hit with a sledgehammer mon ami. The New York Times reports, "More than 9,000 Palestinians imprisoned under Israel’s military and national security laws are being held in Israeli detention facilities, the highest figure in more than a decade, according to rights groups, who say that many of the detainees are being held without charges and have been abused while in custody."
What truly amazes me is how Israel and its allies with all of their sophisticated surveillance techniques can't locate what's left of the Israeli hostages. I think the Israel/US media is having us over.
IN other words, Israel is keeping 9000 Palestinians in safe surroundings while they continue to hunt for Hamas who use Palestinians as human shields in large areas which they know that the Israelis will continue to search and destroy. The rights groups should realise this, however, it does not suit their Anti-Israeli agenda.
Innocent Palestinians, innocent Isaelis etc. are all suffering because Hamas overstepped the mark some nine months ago and started something which may never be resolved.
The Israelis have been doing arbitrary detention for the last 35 years and it's pretty well documented only Pontins can offer worse accommodation and treatment. It will be resolved because soon there will be no live Palestinians left in Gaza.

Then the Israelis can release those in detention and let them go to Gaza, as the rights people want, because there will be plenty of room.
Have you been in detention in Israel or have you been reading propoganda, because there is certainly plenty of that doing the rounds.
It is the famous 'they' that seem to pontificate about all and sundry, however, it 'they' haven't done anything to stop the detentions, having had 35 years to do so, then 'they' are not worth listening to -----all talk and no action. 'They' need to get Jeremy Corbyn on board ---he would sort it out or is he just talk as well?
I see no reason whatsoever for flippancy. On Thursday, Israeli airstrikes killed at least six people in Gaza City and 19 in the rest of the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian authorities. The civil emergency service said the bodies of at least 30 Palestinians killed in the previous three days also laid scattered on unreachable roads in Gaza City.
What are 'they' doing about it. So many concerned people and organisations apparently, however, nobody does anything except talk about it.
We can talk about it, however, we can't do one thing about it, even if we tried, it is way out of our hands and those who could do something just don't bother, they just create a fuss.
Flippancy, cynicism, inaction ---they all go together but don't get too concerned, I'm sure that the Peace Envoy did all he could when he was appointed to the post after taking us to war in Iraq.
