Innocent Palestinians, innocent Isaelis etc. are all suffering because Hamas overstepped the mark some nine months ago and started something which may never be resolved.
The Israelis have been doing arbitrary detention for the last 35 years and it's pretty well documented only Pontins can offer worse accommodation and treatment. It will be resolved because soon there will be no live Palestinians left in Gaza.

Then the Israelis can release those in detention and let them go to Gaza, as the rights people want, because there will be plenty of room.
Have you been in detention in Israel or have you been reading propoganda, because there is certainly plenty of that doing the rounds.
It is the famous 'they' that seem to pontificate about all and sundry, however, it 'they' haven't done anything to stop the detentions, having had 35 years to do so, then 'they' are not worth listening to -----all talk and no action. 'They' need to get Jeremy Corbyn on board ---he would sort it out or is he just talk as well?

I see no reason whatsoever for flippancy. On Thursday, Israeli airstrikes killed at least six people in Gaza City and 19 in the rest of the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian authorities. The civil emergency service said the bodies of at least 30 Palestinians killed in the previous three days also laid scattered on unreachable roads in Gaza City.

What are 'they' doing about it. So many concerned people and organisations apparently, however, nobody does anything except talk about it.
We can talk about it, however, we can't do one thing about it, even if we tried, it is way out of our hands and those who could do something just don't bother, they just create a fuss.
Flippancy, cynicism, inaction ---they all go together but don't get too concerned, I'm sure that the Peace Envoy did all he could when he was appointed to the post after taking us to war in Iraq.

And yet the US/UK global police alliance continue to arm a military machine that murders innocent civilians.

From a Guardian reader: "And so it goes, another day, another atrocity, another Israeli order for Palestinians to move, another explosion, another pile of bodies, another slight furrowing of the brow (A game of football, a boom, then scattered bodies: video shows moment of Israeli strike on Gaza school, 11 July). And weapons keep coming and the pilot lands their shiny fighter jet and the missile commander chalks up another kill. By any standards this is an appallingly abhorrent brutality, but it’s just another day and so it goes."

All this concern about what the Israelis are doing etc., etc. and yet nobody gives a damn about Sudan and what has been going on there for the past few years. Selective concern for humanity, I wonder why?

Selective concern for humanity is perfectly normal for Lefties Sub, here is another fine example, no protests on the streets of London about the latest Russian atrocity in Ukraine, bombing a children's hospital, Israel is doing what it can to help but Lefties don't want to know, if they can't have a rant about Israel or Jews they don't give a FF, their Moral Compass does not deflect even by one degree.

"Israel offers to treat Ukrainian child cancer patients after Russia bombed Kyiv children’s hospital
Jerusalem’s Ambassador to Ukraine said the Jewish State had ‘a big heart"

Biden blasted Russia mid week for bombing a Kiev hospital. He had not a single word to say about the IDF bombing a school full of people seeking refuge from a pre-ordained notice to seek sanctuary.

    The hypocrisy is nauseating.

Bob Geldorf (bless him) did his best to raise global awareness about African famine. The EU & western democracies really do not give a $hit about a set of starving "darkies" and/or Arabs.

Clinton & Co. stood by and watched almost 1 million people get macheted to death in Rwanda in 1992, it's hard to prick a conscience that has no conscience.
