    My point is, there is an absolute rabid response to the very name Trump from the left, who have even been chasing him, when he was irrellevent and out of office.
    Just seen something similar in France recently.
    No, I’ve explained my concerns/fears. You saw the behaviour that followed Trump’s defeat in the last election and I experienced, first hand, the atmosphere in the build up to his election victory over Hilary Clinton.
    That isn’t what we’ve come to expect in the USA since the days of McCarthyism. What the impact has been on the ‘average American’ isn’t really the point. Whether a man who espouses the views he does is fit to be the ‘leader of the free world’ and what the impact of his victory/defeat may be on an already very divided nation is, imo.
