Wasn’t a sell out. Can’t see any club charging full price for a friendly, regardless of opposition. So making money is hardly worth it.
The only benefit for any side that just runs around after their opponents is fitness. A bit like when we played Leicester a number of years ago.
Personally, I feel it’s pointless for lower league clubs to play top level sides early in pre season. Yes you are primarily getting lads match fit. You are also trying different and new players in the side. You ideally want some challenges both with and without possession. What you don’t want is a game where you have 2 shots versus 18 and lose 3-0.

    Exactly.
They are away at Alfreton on Tuesday night if you're not going to Boston.

I'm beginning to think this is like last year. We are just filling the bench with cheap options. Promotion is miles off. Just hope Moe can do enough to avoid relegation.

We have signed a load of players that Ive have never heard of, The proof in the pudding will be how they perform in league 2. Personally i think we have mad a big mistake in letting Cameron go. But time will tell..

They got around 6,500 to 7,000 according to big bob's Spirite Board, not a bad turn out for a friendly.

Have we ever been this late with a "Where do you think we'll finish?" poll thread? Just 4 weeks to go now.

I can't start one as I have javacript off on this site.

    The days of pointless
pre-season friendlies at Rolls Royce FC and Arnold Town (remembering ) the Jimmy Spencer injury are hopefully and thankfully no more.
