Time to un-ban Piglet?

As it’s Sunday morning and I’m just hanging about waiting for 10.45am to arrive I will get my bible out and remind you of a couple of verses in the good book kel

Colossians 3:13. Bear with each other and forgiven one another if any of you has any grievance against someone,Forgive as the Lord forgave you


Ephesians4 3:13. Get rid of all the bittterness,rage and anger,brawling and slander,along with every form of malice ,be kind and compassionate to one another,forgiving each other

You would be a bigger man if you let this rest now kel

Griff - if you decided that now was the time to unban piglet then I am sure Kel would accept it and not interfer. It is your board after all and I think Kel would respect that. But it is also your decision if you want to go down the apology route.

Kel - I am not saying that he should not have been banned for what he did. Just that perhaps now he has served his time.



But if apology is what you both want then I will put it to him. Just to be clear, does he need to apologise just to Kel or also to Griff? And is an apology all that is needed?

What he accused me of has seen people’s reputations ruined in other circumstances and I’ll keep my stance until he apologises for it. I won’t change my mind.

It’s me that wants the apology, not Griff. It’s not prison, it’s a messageboard.

You want an apology? On that memorable evening when you wandered onto this board clearly under the influence, you may recall you also banned me "Because I can and he'll just have to deal with it!" I had made absolutely no accusations against you or anybody in that thread, as was highlighted by other board members over the following days, one even quitting the board in protest over it. Griff kindly reinstated my account which took about ten days, you, however, issued no apology whatsoever for banning me for nothing. No missunderstanding here, I am neither requesting or indeed even want any apology from you, I am just observing what an utter hypocrite you clearly are in demanding an apology from Piglet, but, if you disagree with that, you are of course at liberty to ban me yet again.

This is supposed to be a football message board Yoounited and light banter..

It is not a sounding board for racism or association of people from areas which have had terrible crimes committed in…etc.. etc

I remember the thread and there were a lot of hurtful messages aimed at Kel and some to myself..the issue itself is not just in this town, it has happened in many others and the people involved rightly banged up for a long time in them all…

Why are we going back years and dredging all this up again?… I have seen some of the issues he causes on the other forum, if you enjoy Piglet that much, stay on that one..

Getting back to the basics and simple realities, change starts with an apology to Kel. I’m sure that’s the direction we’re all looking in.

It was me that reinstated you. You may also remember I apologised for my part on that evening.

I made no reference whatsoever to any particular enjoyment of Piglet, so since you visit the other forum, can you point out any thread where I've ever even engaged with him or even agreed about any of his rancid opinions? If you so clearly remember the thread that this particular debate is about, I'll state again, I made no accusations against anyone and furtheremore made no references to race or to any areas where crimes or social problems exist. What in fact I did, was post some "light banter" in good humour in an attempt to lighten the mood of the thread, for which I then got banned. Banned, in fact, for posting the "light banter" which you state a football messageboard is all about. Well clearly not in the eyes of some who have no business issuing bans on here in the first place. So it's a bit rich, is it not, demanding apologies under such circumstances? My opinion is that this is Griff's board for him to have sole control of and to run how he wants to, it should be his decision alone to issue bans and his decision alone if they're to be rescinded.
