Add to that rumours of Morias leaving and that means need at least one decent striker, a midfielder and 2 centre backs to get amongst the front runners. This light squad will catch us out come November/ December.

We got away with the small squad in the promotion season, but last season showed up the rigors of a higher league and the flimsiness of our squad, especially with the Palmer injury. We need two decent players for every position, more or less, if we’re not going to get caught short again.

Time is running out also for getting players in who are fit to play from the off as well. Unsigned players won't have had a full preseason so will need to catch up. Also even if we are planning on buying the minimum 4 players we need, they will need time to learn our patterns of play. Very concerning now, especially with the numbers leaving and the amounts of minutes senior pros aren't getting in friendlies. I fear another relegation season. It's starting to look that way, hope I'm very wrong mind

I'm surprised we've allowed ourselves to get into this position of having a too-small squad again. I'm sure we'll bring a few more in, but we're leaving it late, which increases the likelihood of rushed decisions and rubbish loans, like last year.

From what the players were telling fans in Duisburg, we've had a bit of bad fortune on the recruitment front over the past couple of weeks with signings looking liking then not going ahead.

Jatta wasn't at the training camp/friendly due to visa issues rather than injury/illness and he was still able to get game time over the weekend.

I'm surprised we've allowed ourselves to get into this position of having a too-small squad again. I'm sure we'll bring a few more in, but we're leaving it late, which increases the likelihood of rushed decisions and rubbish loans, like last year.

All we are likely to sign now at this stage are squad fillers. Any quality players will have got themselves sorted. What baffles me is, RM & Palmer always saying they are on the lookout incase the inevitable happens to replace players, coaches. Well, we have just lost our goal machine, over 2 weeks ago. No replacement.
We lost LW, took 2 weeks to get a BT engineer to come. If the background work is in place, why so long to recruit?

Honestly I think we signed Macca's replacement in January last year.
