If the police Hanoi been attacked, the incident would not have happened. The police are not to blame if they are subject to attack by people who believe that the law doesn’t apply to them.

I have always been a staunch supporter of the police forces in our country. However, having witnessed the video of the incident at Manchester Airport I do feel that the actions of the police officer concerned were not acceptable and far too violent and aggressive. The police have a very difficult job but there are boundaries that should be observed..
Having said this, we do not know what led up to this incident and the comments by Andy Burnham are correct in that a full investigation needs to find out what actually occurred. Mind you, the comments made by the Reform MP backing the actions of the officer and calling Andy Burnham a buffoon, are also unacceptable.

My first thought was it depends on the context, but having watch the video it seems to me the policeman's actions were not proportionate.
The guy was lying on the floor and didn't seem to represent a danger, so why did the policeman kick him in the head and stamp on his head?
Investigation is needed to confirm all of the facts, but the actions of the policeman there do not seem reasonable in those circumstances to me.
I typed in ‘had not the police been attacked……’, how on Earth does that get changed to ‘Hanoi’?
Unless it was a life and death incident such as the soldier attacked the other day I don’t think kicking someone in the head and stamping on them whilst prone on the ground is acceptable, especially when you have a taser you can use.
It was a terrible look for that one copper.
The caveat I would add is that Andy Burnham was extremely reluctant to denounce it having seen all of the bodycam footage.
We know that a policewoman had her nose broken by one of these lowlife, I think that was likely to have sent emotions sky high with fellow officers.
Should police be overcome by emotional rage……I would say no but I think if any of us saw a bloke punch a woman in the face we would give an extreme reaction and response.
I note with interest what an utter gob shy te and publicity seeker these Asian lad’s solicitor seems to be.
Funny how this lad now has a cyst on the brain half a day after the kick, I’m no doctor but I’m pretty much positive that a cyst takes longer than 12 hours to form. I’ve suffered with them in both knees, they take years to form.
These Asian lads are probably going to exposed for the scum they actually are once all the footage comes out.
And so too the copper by all likelihood!
From the reports I read, the victim of the kick to the head was amongst the group that instigated the violence hence Andy Burnham's comments about needing to put the incident in context.
I get that the officer concerned would want some retribution for the injuries suffered by his colleagues but the man was already being restrained and on the floor and of very little or no threat at the time. The kick and stamp to the head was therefore totally uncalled for. This sort of attack could have killed him or left him with a life changing condition. Scrote or not, you can't equate that with a broken nose. We should expect our police officers to be better than that and exercise some measure of control, even in heated situations.
Apparently, a member of their family is a serving officer in the same force but don't know if he was involved in the fracas. There is always cause and effect but whatever caused this group of men to kick off in the first place it cannot excuse their behaviour any more than the officer who put the boot in.
As for the solicitor, I totally agree with the comments others have made about him! He may be right in calling out the totally over the top and dangerous actions of the officer concerned but the rest is just one sided s hit stirring. Divisive and not helpfull!

THe vidio I've just posted is what happened before the copper kick him the head, which is wrong but armed police are trained not to use their hands in case their pistol is grabbed.
