At Brum airport a decade ago I realised I’d left something in the toilets after leaving the security area on the way out.

So I made the stupid decision to go back through the security doors as others were exiting.

Immediately the exit and entry doors automatically clamped shut and all sorts of alarms started going off and security surrounded me.

I explained that I’d left some of my hand luggage in the loo and they offered to let me exit and go home or be arrested……I chose to go home.

They did the right thing, if I’d been tasered or worse it would’ve been my fault.

I saw a bloke try to photograph excessive queues at Brum airport going through passport control and he was surrounded by four gun carrying coppers and they deleted his photos before letting him go.

Airport police don’t f u c k around.
