ELK are you sure Jack Holmes was free? Surely having only recently signed for Stamford a month ago they are entitled to something.

According to BBC transfer website, Jack Holmes is a free transfer.
I agree with you mate, Stamford should get a fee, wonder if Holmes was on a monthly contract.

    Local Football

    Sheffield United

The Blades after free-agent 32 year old Paul Dummett, full-back- central-defender Dummett
    was released by Newcastle United.
But it seems Chris Wilder is waiting for more funds, with a takeover of the club holding back
transfers, so money needed probably for signing on fee, agents fee.
The Blades just spent transfer money on bringing in Harrison Burrows from Peterborough Utd.

    Sheffield Wednesday

Looking to sign striker Sory Kaba from Los Palmas, on a loan to buy deal.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony claims the club had a deal pretty well
done, to sign 23 year old defender Lewis Brunt from Leicester City.
But Wrexham FC came in & hijacked the deal, by offering the player £3,000 a week more
in wages, than Peterborough Utd had offered the player, so the player signed for Wrexham.

Mansfield Town were also interested in the player, after manager Nigel Clough coached the
    player last season.
Clough said, Mansfield Town & Peterborough Utd were neck & neck to sign Brunt, but
Wrexham came in with a wage offer, that blew both clubs out of the water.
