Let’s get back to the purpose of this thread I’m hearing we are about to sign a defender on a 2 year deal James Connolly from Bristol Rovers can play CB or RB

I see it's being reported as done in Bristol: https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/...ristol-9452443 - on loan at Morecambe for half last season. I guess he's not one we've had in on trial as they say involved in the Pirates' pre-season to date.

Looks a promising addition if it happens. Young and played a decent amount of games the league above. Wonder if they’ll look at a left back with Rio going. Got Billo and Cooney on the right so surely Connolly be coming in to play centre half

Or the Wintle (and last season Offord) role in front of the back four? Bristol have also seen him as a midfielder it seems.

Not been overly impressed with Knight-Lebel so far. As you say with Billo and Cooney covering the RB spot, I presume this new signing is earmarked for CH.

Not managed to see any of the pre season games, who’s been playing left back? Williams? Finney been given any chances? Big boots to fill there

Williams and young Sant, first year pro. Like Long, Finney deliberately not been given any game time yet - on individual preparation timetables to try and avoid any pre-season problems.

Nice one mate, cheers. Hopefully Sant and Finney are class this season as Williams much better in the middle. Be interesting to see the team, and how we get on tomorrow.
